Credit Card Machines
I’m currently with Heartland. I’m wondering if someone can tell me what the best percentage rate is for MC, VISA, DC, and AMEX through a bank. Also, I’m looking for a cost effective credit card machine that is ethernet compatible for IP processing and uses thermal paper.

Go to Wells Fargo online at http://www.wellsfargo.com or to Bank of America http://www.bankofamerica.com these two banks established VISA and MASTERCARD and are pioneers in Merchant Card Services. Or visit your local bank and ask to speak to a Business Banker about "Merchant Card Services" they can give you an idea of the cost, and price which is driven by the average ticket price per transaction and your monthly volume. Avoid those fly by night companies which claim to do what Banks can do? You get better customer resolution and customer service from say a Wells Fargo or Bank of America.

if you have a business by all means the best rate out there is with Advanta. You can go to Advanta.com.
They have a rate of 2.99 for the life of the loan which is what I have. My cousin just signed up last night as he is a small business owner too. They have another plan of 0% for 15 months then 7.99 thereafter. No transfer fee, or other junk fees.
Sorry, I can’t help you with the latter.
