[Verizon] Activating a pre-paid phone?

I have a LG Voyager that my friend gave me.
My current phone [LG Dare] that I had with my family plan has been disconnected by my father [as a punishment] & I was wondering if it would work if go to CVS & buy minutes for my phone. & How do you activate it? I heard I don’t need a parents/credit card for this process; is that true?
Would I be better off using my Dare then the Voyager?
I don’t have a SIM card lol =/

Go to CVS, and buy a SIM card for Verizon Wireless prepaid (at the store they activate it for you). Then simply pop in your SIM card into the Voyager, and it’ll start working.
Oh and just to let you know, the LG Dare is a better phone than the voyager.
