Hello all!
I am a Canadian Citizen currently in the process of becoming a permanent resident of the USA. Due to a past abusive relationship and teenage stupidity, I don’t have the prettiest credit score in Canada. I want to start building my credit in the US before I receive my Green Card and move down there. Is there anyway to do this without a Social Security Number or any other US documentation? Please help!

(Cell phone? Credit card?)
Also, is there anyway to avoid my Canadian credit from following me to US?

i ordered a phone and plan last night and i got this e-mail.
"Thank you for ordering! Our sales team is
processing your order, and will contact you soon to confirm completion."
then i got a order number along with it.

im only 15 and i put in my b-day and social security number in so they know im 15 but in the fine print it said you have to be 18 or older to order. my mom said i could use her credit card and pay her back every month so then i entered her credit card number and her name.

do you think they canceled the order because of my age or do i have to wait longer? thanks!

I’m a victim of identity theft..unfornately =( I found out that someone was using my social security, not one but two person usin my ss# so i did all the necessary steps called social security agency, ftc and filed police reports however, i tried to call the credit agencies coz they adviced me to call this agencies to put an alert on any credit cards i have…but thing is I dont have any credit cards, i called the equifax anyways to make sure, but everytime i call and after i enter all my infos on the phone because its automated and there is no actual person to talk to…it will always say " we cannot process your request at this time"blah blah… so i was wonderin, does this mean i dont have any credit history at all? help pls!
another question..since I never opened up any credit cards ever…should I worry about the person who stole my social security number oppening up credit cards under my ss#?
I need help please! this is driving me nuts and I’m getting depressed already

1.)My roommate went to a local store and opened a store credit card because the clerk kept asking her so she finally agreed. She is 17 and lied about her age saying she was 18. She gave all real information including her social security #, address and phone# but lied about her age saying she was 18.
2.)Claiming she had no ID on her the clerk said "I trust you and made up a false college ID number"
3.)The Clerk then called a bank to verify. After that the clerk gave her a temp card and said the real one will come in the mail in about a week. After she left she was reading over the paperwork and noticed that it seemed alot more a much bigger deal that she previously thought. She didn’t know this was considered fraud and is really scared that she will get in trouble. She has no history of any trouble (legal or otherwise). She tried to call the store and have it cancelled before it was processed but the clerk said she’d have to wait. She is planning on canceling it right away without using it. What can I tell her??

I recently submitted an application for a business credit card merchant account. It is an existing business with an existing merchant account with another company. This new provider wants me to give them my social security number even though the company has its own EIN/tax ID. Why would they want my social? Does this open me up to financial liabilities of the company? I know if they hard pull my credit information, this has a negative impact on my personal credit rating. The other option is to jump through hoops of sending several years tax returns and months of bank statements. What is the best course of action?
We have been in business for almost 7 years so it is not from lack of history.
This is not for a business credit card, it is for a merchant account to process credit cards.
