Hello and thank you for reading my question. I am starting a small local business that will involve me picking up and delivering to-go food from restaurants to my clients. I would like to accept payment in cash, check or credit card. Cash and check would be easy, as I could just take it upon delivering the food. Credit cards however, are leaving me a little puzzled. I am a bit familiar with Paypal, but have only used it as a buyer on eBay. Should I have them give me their credit card number/exp date over the phone and then type it in to process on Paypal my own? Should I send them some kind of Paypal e-mail invoice? What would you suggest? I’m looking for a method that is safe and secure, but also efficient and easy for the client. Thanks.

I have a costumer that owe me 00, he wants to pay me with credit card. I dont have any credit card account machine. So I opened an account with paypal and I read that paypal charge 2.9%. How long does it takes to receive payment from a credit card?
I know that the 2.9% fee is good, but my question is how long does paypal takes to deposit the money to my account. Because usually credit cards payment takes more than debit cards.

Ok, I plan to have customers pay me through Paypal (I know). Since I’m drop shipping I need to have the funds from the buyers available in my bank account to be charge by my vendors in which of course I would hold the difference. But the problem is that it could take up to 3 business days for the transfer to take place in which would add time on to when my customer would receive their product.
Should I
A: Keep a certain amount in my Bank account to be charged automatically but refunded later by funds in paypal..(but may be a nightmare when trying to track high sales)

B: Just wait the 3 days until funds are transfered to bank account and then send purchase to vendor ( which would upset customers who are looking for fast deliveries)

EXTRA notes: for now I have only the option of using paypal or google check out. I don’t want a check or credit card account with paypal .

PayPal Question: I Don’t want my customers to have to sign up for PayPal?
HELP.

I have a Business account with PayPal and we are wanting to start selling online. I created a Buy Now website and when we tested it I notic that there is NO Way for customers to simply enter credit card info WITHOUT having to sign up for PayPal acct.

This is BS, and I want to know what I need to buy / add-on in order to make this more professional.

The issue is that it irritates some potential customers. This leads to missed sales. There is no greater sin in all Creation than missed sales.

What PayPal settings do we use to change this?
What PayPal services must I pa for to remove it?
Speak, oh WISE Yahoolians.

I challenge thee!

Ive been trying to buy a phone off EBay but when I click pay now i want to use a credit card but it wont let me, and when I sign into my paypal it says "You can complete checkout by getting PayPal verified" and
"Verification helps increase the security of the PayPal network as more members successfully pass PayPal’s identification checks.
You will be directed to PayPal to complete this process. You will then be able to return to complete checkout and continue to use PayPal"

Hi

I am in 2 minds, the options for payment processing for my download products are:

http://paypal-ipn.com/
or
http://www.e-junkie.com/

?

i am confused why e-junkie charges by the month, and the other one above is a one of payment, maybe you get support and protection with ejunkie.

NOTE:
Merchant account is too expensive and costly paypal is cheaper & easier i have found, so thats why i chose paypal.

What are your experiences? advice please?

thanks in advance

Paypal screwed me over… yes. I got ,340 in my account then they froze it and 3 weeks later… cancelled it because I have no credit (not my fault I enjoy payin cash in full). So, in this process my business is at it’s peak and I have no way to accept funds. I don’t have a drivers license and basically have bills to pay and need food to put in my childrens mouth. So anyone know any good merchant account, that do not handle business like paypal?

I usually see that a lot of accounts require you to have a drivers license… I don’t have one sadly lol.

I have 2 debit cards (WalMart Money Card, Account Now Card)

Any help or advice would be good. Just need to make quick ends. Thanks all!!!
I have and ID, so I could use my ID number as my drivers license number?

I just switched from personal to business PayPal account, but I’m beginning to think I made a mistake. Are there monthly fees to accept credit cards on eBay through PayPal? Or, are there just % rates for each transaction?

We have an online website business and have been selling via Google Checkout. Now we want to accept credit cards. (No Paypal.) In order to accept credit cards we need a merchant account, to have a merchant account our business needs to be registered.

I am the only owner of the business and we do not want to pay taxes, it is an online business anyways isn’t it? We still have to pay taxes, correct? What if we register in delaware?

Please help us. Thank you!

I’m designing some software to help small mom-and-pop companies put themselves online for little or no recurring cost. The software will be able to run all the functions of their business, from inventory control, to marketing (tie ins to Froogle, eBay, Shopping.com, and AdWords and Overture), to accounting (export in CSV for now, QuickBooks later), and so forth. It will be easy to change the look-and-feel of it (using skins and templates, some of which I’ll build at first, and I’ll publish the guide to creating more). It will integrate with Authorize.net, PayPal, and other merchant services. It will be built using Open Source tools, and will itself be Open Source.

Can anyone think of a good name for something like this?

I currently use "Dial Pay" over the phone, but it would be so much easier to do it on the computer.
I’m looking for something other than PayPal, they keep turning me down. I know that there are other programs out there, but don’t know what they are.

I need to find a paypal alternative because paypal is making me angry. I hate them! I was hoping someone could give me some good information of a alternative to paypal that would allow me to invoice people via email and allow customers to make payments online via credit/debitcards or their paypal, google accounts without me having to have those memberships to receive the payments? I am a small business so I don’t want a merchant account because it costs hundreds of dollars to maintain a merchant account and I don’t make that much to need something like that. I like invoicing via email and receiving payments into an account I can transfer to my bank but paypal has too many issues and causes to many headaches and takes too much money. Anyone know of a great alternative?

I asked a similar question before, and contacted an account executive at Transfirst with my question. He did not see a problem, sent me the application which I filled out and sent back, and was subsequently told that I "was accepted" to accept credit cards trough for Dial Pay. Three weeks I'm still waiting for my merchant id to be emailed to me. Every time I call I get another excuse. At this point in time, why doesn't he just own up and tell me that I was actually turned down?
When you fill out the application for a merchant id, they also do a credit check. That's when they discover your bad credit. It has nothing to do with identification.
For everyone's information, I was turned DOWN by PayPal for a merchant account to accept credit cards in person. Please don't give me advice about PayPal. I'm trying to accept credit cards IN PERSON, not online!

I have a growing high risk business. Do I keep on using Paypal or get a merchant account as my biz grows? Is it safer to opt for a 3rd party high risk merchant account provider?
