I know you go to AXS machine to pay… but how do you know it’s time to pay, do they send you a monthly bill by mail? Then how do you use the AXS machine to pay, does it accept ATM card?

Sorry, but I am a first time credit card owner and user. Pls have patience on me! :)

I got a cell phone ticket in California and paid it one day late. It was 0, and I thought my court date/payment due date was 06/08 when it was really 06/03.
I was putting it off because I wanted to see if traffic school was an option, because the notice I received in the mail did not have it listed as an option. Unfortunately, June crept up on me.
I paid it on 06/04 over the phone with my credit card, but the automated phone service said it would take 10 days to process the payment. Has anyone experienced this before? What will the consequences be?
Any advice is welcome! Thank you!

Ok so when I signed up with my apple ID, I used a visa gift card that had about .00 on it. I decided to buy a few apps for my iPod and I figured that the correct amount would be subtracted from the total balance that was left on the card. I also figured that once all of the money had been spent, the said transaction wouldn’t go through. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and now I owe Apple . I have already "reported the problem" under purchase history and I received an email that said something about not being able to process the request until the payment has been made.

So I guess my question is now what? I’m only 15 and don’t have a debit/credit card and really don’t want to tell my parents about this…lol. Will Apple just forget about this or will they send me something in the mail or give me a phone call?

I’m worried…

Here is my situation,

I recently bought a house in my city (September 2008).

I also havea 7,000 student credit line dept (my parents said they will be paying it off for my shortly as a helping hand)
and 2,500 credit card dept (maxed)
500$ cellphone bill.

I was layed my job 3-4 months ago. and have no been able to make morgage payements. collectors started calling, ect but was not able to do anything. i received a paper via mail from the couts saying something about i owe the CIBC (my bank) 108k. i think they are suing me? does that make sense? for not paying my morgage?

What happens now? do they reposes my house?

Ok to continue on, after searching for a job with no avail (huge unnemployement rate in my city) i decided to leave.

Im a 5th year plumber, so i did make good money when was working, but was layed off beause the industry was dead.

So in light of all that i decided to move (loosing house(i think) stress with money and not having it) i sold my things and moved. out west were theyre is work.

now ive found an independant contracting job, but im broke. (flew down here with 200 dollars in my pocket. clothes and tools).

I would need a truck, liabilty insurance, work comp, car insurance. a cell phone.

The job pays VERY VERY well. and is reliable on hours, i will make a killing and able to re-establish myself financially in no time. But i have all this dept and no money.

I’m young, 22 and i have been foolish wiht my money. Now im in a situation and i have no idea how to go about getting out.

Im looking for detailed or any advice i cant get onwhat i should do.

So there some type of loan i can get to merge my current dept.

What do i do about the house, i have been in no contact wiht them at all, and dont know what the process is when you havent and cant pay. Like take the house?? which i dont live there anymore. what happens to the dept? the lawsuit (i think thats what it is)

And how can i get some money to get this buisness going, (independent plumbin contractor). to get myself re-started again. I figuere start up cost will be atleast 15,000$

any help and advice would be helpfull.
16 minutes ago - 1 week left to answer.
Additional Details
Im being hired on at 50/hour, garantee 40 hours a week (most likly will be 60-70). And advancements within 3 months. His other plumber makes 80/hour

I am trying to help a friend out whom owns their own plumbing & heating business, to look for some type of way for them to accept credit cards over the phone or by mail if they decide to pay that way. I’ve never done this and their a home based operation so we’re wondering if anyone has any experience or suggestions for this like who to go through or how much it typically costs.

I work at a hotel in Arkansas and I just had a guest from Nevada yell at me telling me that credit card imprints are now illegal. I don’t understand why american express would issue a credit card machine if they were illegal and if they were just recently made illegal why they wouldn’t call/mail all of the people they issued them to. He said that we can keep doing it until someone sues us I’m assuming he means himself since I imprinted it anyway it sounded to me like something was fishy since we have government and military people stay with us all the time and haven’t said a word, he told me it was due to the new privacy acts or something like that but i couldn’t find anything on it. It is a legitimate credit card imprinting machiene issued by american express.
Wow thanks alot! I thought it might be something like that, I know that we put them on reg. cards in case our system and back up both go down, and also to make sure the number in the computer and the number on the reg card match since people like to switch c.c. at check in and the computer doesn’t always save the second card so the wrong card could get charged. I feel a whole lot better now haha I just didn’t want my manager and what not to get in trouble. I’ve only been doing front desk for about 7 months since my hotel opened like i said we have lawyers and high ranking govt. officals come through all the time so i assumed that they would have told me by now.

I was hoping that someone who is a little more tech/internet savvy than myself could tell me another option that I could use for a charger for my credit card machine that I may have laying around. It is a Nurit 8020 wiresless machine, but I cant find the size or specifications. I need a temporary AC adaptor until my new one arrives in the mail. Please list examples of Items that may use the same style for example the power chord for the cable box…

I work 25 hours per week, so part-time is a "benefit" i guess. But I get no other benefits whatsoever. What do you think is a fair wage for my position of Office Manager (Administrative Assistant) in a small office in a Detroit suburb? My duties include: answering phones, handling customer questions, researching & resolving problems, invoicing customers, paying bills, accounts receivable, preparing & mailing letters/contracts, generating reports, monitoring, researching & ordering supplies, opening & sorting mail, preparing software and bindings, scheduling appointments, making cold-calls, monthly/quarterly/yearly tax reports & payments, preparing bank deposits, payroll, W-4s, W-2s, 1099-MISCs, making collection calls, processing credit card payments, admin assistant duties (i.e. order lunch, arrange travel for Pres), vacuum, wash windows & mirrors, empty wastebaskets, dust, clean desks, scrub toilets/sinks. Besides the minor computer & printer maint., I think I covered most of it

I am going to stop by the bank on Monday, but I just wanted to get some advice over the weekend before then.

I recently paid with a check for a loan officer training manual that included several CDs and DVDs. When I got home, the package was missing four of the CDs. I immediately called the customer service number and I had to leave a message. They took a couple of days to call me back, but they told me they would mail the missing CDs. I got the package in the mail a few days later and there were only two out of the four missing CDs. I have called back three separate times and left three separate messages trying to resolve this problem, but I have not received a return phone call. I know it would be no issue to dispute the charge if I had paid with a credit card, but I’m not quite sure about the process for disputing a charge when you pay with a check.

The training package was 5, so I’m a little bit irritated to say the least… ;)

Thanks in advance for your advice!
Oh, I forgot to mentio…yes, the check has already cleared. I was planning on stopping the payment on the check when I received the package and realized that it was still missing two CDs, but the check had already been cashed the day prior to that.

I want to make an online purchase, the merchant only accepts Visa or Mastercard. I have a savings/checking account, Discover card and a paypal account with a positive balance. Is there a way to purchase a prepaid Visa or Mastercard credit card online so that I can make the online purchase?
Travelman the merchant not only doesn’t take paypal but doesn’t even take discover card which is my backup card on paypal. Also, I already filled out the form to get the Paypal debit card but it said it takes 4 weeks to arrive in the mail and in the meantime they don’t give you the card number like green dot does until the card arrives so I need something faster for immediate use.

1.)My roommate went to a local store and opened a store credit card because the clerk kept asking her so she finally agreed. She is 17 and lied about her age saying she was 18. She gave all real information including her social security #, address and phone# but lied about her age saying she was 18.
2.)Claiming she had no ID on her the clerk said "I trust you and made up a false college ID number"
3.)The Clerk then called a bank to verify. After that the clerk gave her a temp card and said the real one will come in the mail in about a week. After she left she was reading over the paperwork and noticed that it seemed alot more a much bigger deal that she previously thought. She didn’t know this was considered fraud and is really scared that she will get in trouble. She has no history of any trouble (legal or otherwise). She tried to call the store and have it cancelled before it was processed but the clerk said she’d have to wait. She is planning on canceling it right away without using it. What can I tell her??

I’m selling crafts from home and I’m setting up a small business.

I don’t want to ship my products until I receive payment for them but the only ways I can think of right now to accept payment from my customers would be for them to either write me a check and either hand it to me or send it by mail, or to pay me in cash.

I don’t want to have to pay any monthly or setup fees for a merchant account or anything like that just yet, but I’d really like to find a easy and convenient way to accept their payment (instantly if at all possible).
