Ok heres the question. I got set up with an online merchant acount and needed 2 wireless credit card machines. they told me it would be 0 for the rental and a 0 security deposit. so the said the only why they could accept payment is using a card so i gave them my card and everything went smoth. they sent the machines and i used them for the 2 weeks and sent them back when i was done.
Well a few months went by and i never recieved my security deposit back so i started calling and getting the runaround. They where either out of the office all the time or on vacation or in new yourk for the week. this went on for another month. Finaly the last time i spoke with someone they said that they never charged my card for the 0 rental fee and the 0 deposit, which when i looked back, they didnt. but now im so upset with there service and how they treated me as a customer i wouldnt want to pay them. they asked me in a e-mail that i need to pay them. Legally do i have to pay?

I have looked into online processing, but it seems expensive both monthly and per transaction. As does PayPal. My customers all have accounts set up with me, but I would like to find some way that they can make payments on their accounts using their credit card. Is there some way around this. Would it be possible, for example, to have them complete a form with all of the credit card info that I need and submit it to me over a secure connection and then I could just punch the info into my credit card machine manually and then e-mail them a confirmation of payment? That should work right? Please let me know if I am missing something!

I want to have all the information handy, so I can make the process a lot faster. I know it asks for the credit card number, phone number, system ID, e-mail, and a few other things. Does anyone know any other questions they might ask?

& what would I answer if I don’t know? Because, I barely know the information on it. It was an account I just made for fun with all fake info, and someone hacked me so I’m trying to get it back.

Thanks a million, the best answer will get points, and I’ll answer your questions. :)

I sent in my 2 year service contract form in the business reply envelope only to receive a letter two weeks later from the following address

Microsoft Programs
7313 Mayflower Park Drive
Zionsville IN 46077

The letter easily looks like it could have been faked. The main point of the letter is that it is saying that "We have recently improved our credit card security process and require the three or four digit CVV security number on the credit card in order to complete your order".

The letter asks that I write the CVV number on the original form next to my credit card number AND on the letter itself (in an indicated blank, underlined spot). The letter also wants me to copy my console’s serial number on the letter as well, along with my daytime phone number.

Has anyone else gotten this letter? Is it real or fake because the this Zionsville IN was NOT where the business reply envelope was address to go (it was address to One Microsoft Way in WA but I don’t remember the whole exact address).
UPDATE: I sent an e-mail to xbox support about this question but knowing I’m not a person who can wait, I wanted to ask my question here as well because I thought others who have xbox’s might know the answer and could also assist me in this matter.

i ordered a phone and plan last night and i got this e-mail.
"Thank you for ordering! Our sales team is
processing your order, and will contact you soon to confirm completion."
then i got a order number along with it.

im only 15 and i put in my b-day and social security number in so they know im 15 but in the fine print it said you have to be 18 or older to order. my mom said i could use her credit card and pay her back every month so then i entered her credit card number and her name.

do you think they canceled the order because of my age or do i have to wait longer? thanks!

Hello and thank you for reading my question. I am starting a small local business that will involve me picking up and delivering to-go food from restaurants to my clients. I would like to accept payment in cash, check or credit card. Cash and check would be easy, as I could just take it upon delivering the food. Credit cards however, are leaving me a little puzzled. I am a bit familiar with Paypal, but have only used it as a buyer on eBay. Should I have them give me their credit card number/exp date over the phone and then type it in to process on Paypal my own? Should I send them some kind of Paypal e-mail invoice? What would you suggest? I’m looking for a method that is safe and secure, but also efficient and easy for the client. Thanks.

I’m trying to fix bad credit so I applied for a credit card on line and when the bill for a .00 annual service fee arrived before the card, I decided that I didn’t want it. While I was going through all the pages of the on-line application there was one page that stated that I had thirty days to cancel, but the paperwork I got in the mail says nothing about this and to access this page on-line I would have to go through the process of applying for another card (not happening). Also, the paperwork that came with the card says that I have to call a phone number to activate the card before it can be used. QUESTION: Do I need to call or e-mail these people and tell them I don’t want the card anymore (it hasen’t been 30 days yet), or, if I just don’t activate the card does that mean the account has not been verified and so then it becomes null and void?
