well its my first time using Ebay. i got an account and a Paypal account yesterday. So, today i tried bidding on a cell phone, i put 5.00 as my maximum bid. i confirmed it, but everytime i try this page pops up saying: You can increase the activity limits on your account by taking one or more of the following actions:

1. Sign Up For PayPal

Registration is free and you do not have to pay with PayPal.

PayPal is the best way to pay for your purchases on eBay and offers 00 in buyer protection.
Existing PayPal account holders can click here to link their account.

2. Verify using a Credit Card
Process is immediate and your card will not be charged.
Important: only available for Visa Credit and Mastercard.

so i linked my account.. and it says that Ebay and Paypal was successfully linked but it may take up to a few hours until i can bid. so i waited for a day.. and i tried again AND THAT PAGE STILL POPPED UP.. HOW DO I BID?! thanks. :)

This is not really a question more like information for you guys. I have been doing this on my own since September 2009, decided not to waste a month with Lexington Law to do the same thing, I have managed to Successfully have my Bankruptcy Chapter 7 (Filed in 2005) DELETED from all 3 Credit Reports, as well as 10 other Negative Credit Cards from Capital One, Target, Macy’s and various collection agencies within 4 months.

Just recently I have been able to obtain a New Car Loan, and a Cell Phone Credit Account.

Here is how you do it:
Get your credit report
THE FIRST DISPUTE WILL MOST LIKELY NOT REMOVE IT -
Dispute the information "Please verify all balances/dates as this accuracy of this account is incorrect"
**They have 30-45 days to respond, if they do not verify it, by law it is deleted, if they do it will update*

**DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED- - THIS IS A PROCESS**

When/If it comes back unchanged/Updated Re-Dispute it and state:
"Please state your method of your verification process and source all information on balances, dates and provide information"

Give it 30-45 Days, It most likely will come off/delete from your credit report
If it does not, re-dispute it again with the same statement

My score has increased 100 points in 5 months and i have went from 10 derogatory remarks and a bankruptcy to 3 remarks and no bankruptcy

I am an artist and do trade shows. I currently use a Nurit 3010 credit card swipe machine with a wireless merchant service. At my last show, another merchant told me that she thought there is now a product called a "cell phone dock" that would allow me to do credit card transactions with my cell phone. Normally these docks are for connecting your cell phone to your home or office wired phones. If this is true it would save me tremendous "$" as the merchant service is NOT cheap. Does anybody know if this would work?
bigboy: what in the world are you talking about?
chrisgalv : could you please explain why you don’t think it will work? My swipe machine will dial out using my phone line at home. Also, I have heard from another merchant that they are doing this…
Also, if this wont work, if somebody invents a gadget that will do this they will make a fortune! There are thousands of mobile merchants who are on systems like mine.

I owe money on 3 credit cards. My car got repoed a few months ago and it’s in the process of being auctioned off and I am responsible for paying the difference which is a few grand. I am literally broke. I closed my bank account because I’m scared that the collection agencies have authorization to take whatever is in my name. Is this true? Can you please tell me what to watch out for? This is getting really annoying because there are some things I want to pay for like my phone bill or just simple things here and there and it sucks not having a debit card, it’s so much easier. I even purchased that american express gift card but that’s not even re loadable. Any tips? Also, another crazy thing. I am a new customer with a cell phone carrier and the very next day after getting new service, my phone has not stopped ringing from the creditors. How did they get my number???
Lemon: Thank you for understanding and taking the time to answer this. I’m very scared about the whole bankruptcy thing lol I’ve considered it numerous times before and I even contacted an attorney but when the appt came, I chickened out and never showed up lol

I have a Wal-Mart Discover card that I use for gas and minor purchases that I pay off every single month. Over a year ago, I paid my bill online and by the time the check was processed, I didn’t have enough money in my checking account so my check was returned. I paid the fee right away along with whatever my balance was and continued using my card. Suddenly, at the end of November, I tried to use my card and it got declined. I thought this was so weird because I called the customer service line and was told that I had PLENTY of available credit and my next bill isn’t due for 3 weeks. The card still didn’t work and kept getting declined. I called the Wal-Mart customer service line literally 10 times and was put on hold for about 20 minutes each time… (a COMPLETE waste of cell phone minutes). They kept telling me that they reset my account and that my card should work and didn’t know what was causing the issue. Finally, after the 10th call, and being transferred through about 5 departments, a lady told me that they are putting a hold for 1 billing cycle on anyone’s account who has had a returned check. THIS WAS OVER A YEAR AGO! I was NEVER notified that a hold was going to be placed on my account and this is just a wonderful little gift right in the middle of the holiday season! Is this reasonable? I have NEVER heard of this before and I think it’s ridiculous… Any thoughts?

Visa mobile is a new service just for chase Visa Credit and Debit card holders. Visa is currently testing this on T-mobiles Googe smartphone. You can view your Visa card balance all the time on the phone. You also get offers dlelivered to your phone from several merchants.

I would not be interested in a service like this. Its too big brotherish for me. If you loose your phone someone can pick up your cell phone cand get all of your account information.

Would people really be interested in a service like this?

Here is an article introducing the service.

I have a small business with very minimal credit card usage. I bought a handheld swiper from Propay online thinking it would be just fine for my usage…and am being told by a guy who sells much more expensive machines that mine will be not usable in about 6 months because of some new laws and that Visa is cracking down on the swipe and transfer data via internet or cell phone type credit card processing that I bought. Any idea if this guy is just trying to sell me with the fear tactic- that mine will be obsolete…or if it's a legitimate point he is making.
