Don’t. They charge too much. Try SquareUp instead. It’s an iPhone app with free hardware to read the cards and much lower fees than their competitors. Your customer’s receipts are E-Mailed to them with all the information plus a link to a Google Map to remind them where your shop is.
According to the article linked below , paperless receipts are gaining acceptance and even being expected.

How are you going to use the credit card machine?
If you are going to sell online, you need to have a merchant account that provides services for online merchants. Otherwise, you’re going to do manual key-in where rates are much higher. That could push up your cost of credit card fees
If you are going to sell mostly in flea markets, trade events, the new mobile apps for credit card transactions are really great. Assuming of course you’ve got an iPad or a smart phone plus wireless broadband/internet connection. A good option is Square http://www.squareup.com. Square is easy to set up and easy to use. There are also no activation fees or monthly fees
Otherwise, your bank may be able to give you a better rate, compared to other vendors that you see.
Choose the merchant account with the less fees - find one with no activation fees, monthly fees even if you did not charge anything, etc.
