Also think about the customer. Would you let any business keep your credit card with all the Identity thefts occurring now. Also think about the guy you got the card from, it may not be unpaid bills, he could have just mugged someone for the card. Do you want to fight with him. If I had security backup I might think about it, if not I would give the card back and let him leave. You are not the police! It depends on the policy of the business. Also think about the customer.
