		<description>Yes, it is legal for them to set a minimum amount for credit card purchases. All businesses have to pay a fee each time they accept a credit card. For your company, $4.00 is probably the cheapest they can make it without losing money.

I don't know why it would be programmed to write all the numbers on the receipt. It isn't safe, but it's not illegal as far as I know. The last four digits are the ones that identify your account. If someone saw where your card was from, they could get the routing number easily directly from the bank.</description>

As for the receipt.  It is legal for the entire card number to be on the receipt that the store maintains for its records.  But it is illegal for that to be on the customer copy.  The FTC link below talks about the requirements.</description>
