Credit Card Processing Questions
Hi
I am in 2 minds, the options for payment processing for my download products are:
http://paypal-ipn.com/
or
http://www.e-junkie.com/
?
i am confused why e-junkie charges by the month, and the other one above is a one of payment, maybe you get support and protection with ejunkie.
NOTE:
Merchant account is too expensive and costly paypal is cheaper & easier i have found, so thats why i chose paypal.
What are your experiences? advice please?
thanks in advance

Paypal are a top provider, and their interfaces for creating payments are really simple to use.
As far as I am aware, there are no real security threats from PayPal. Most of the secuirty threats seem to reside around email fraud, so don’t click links on emails. If you are sent an email from Paypal, then go to paypals website manually, login, and then you should receive any alerts there and then.
I’ve never heard of e-junkie, but the biggest bonus of PayPal is that everybody knows who they are, and they trust them. You can then splatter the PayPal logo wherever you like on your site, and you automatically get their trust.

Go with paypal, it’s the one more people are familiar and comfortable with.
Also, like you said, no monthly subscription fee!

Never heard of e-junkie but i have used paypal. When it comes to buying and selling, Paypal is great, easy, and fast. Not to sure about th fee’s, personally i think they are too greedy.
The problem will start if and when a fraudster comes across your account. Then paypal will ignore all your e’mails unless you threaten them will the police. They will reel of the bullsh!t, until you actually call the police. However, they know nothing will come of it. And when you are in debt because paypal is NOT as secure as people think, you really are on your own.
Nochex is very similair to paypal, more and more people are using it, as they get stung by paypal. You/your customer can send up to £100 without having to open an account. I would and do STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU TRY NOT TO USE PAYPAL. Things have gotten a lot worse with paypal since ebay bought it some time ago. Ebay are just as bad when it comes to getting rich over security.
Google/Yahoo paypal scams there are thousands.
Good luck whatever you decide.
