Legal/Divorce, credit being ruined by ex, I need the name of a legal document?
I just got off of the phone with someone from a credit card (collections) company. My ex husband was to paying off a credit card and hasn’t paid a dime since May of last year. I have taken him to court but they keep drawing the process out longer and longer and in the mean time my credit is being severly damaged. First he has 30 days, he doesn’t comply we go back to court and then he has 90 days…and so on. The person from the credit card company told me about something called a ‘Writ of Excusion’. I’m not sure if I heard her correctly because when I do a search it comes up with nothing. Is anyone familar with this? She said with this document I can have the judge sign it and be dismissed from any damage it’s caused to my credit.

I wonder if she said "Writ of Execution" instead? That allows the creditor (you) to seize your ex’s assets and sell them to pay off the debt. Did you know you can submit a statement to the credit reporting agencies regarding this problem and that goes on your credit report? You should submit such a statement to all the major credit reporting companies. That will explain the circumstances and will help your credit.
