Is it absolutely necessary to have a shopping cart to sell online? and are there any merchant account providers that have bundled merchant accounts & shopping carts? (i’m thinking its easier and cheaper that way…)

A shopping cart is a virtual form of the cart that you use in large stores where you collect all that you want to buy and at the end go in for the billing procedure.
If you have an online sellling facility, you have a shopping cart, it is not something that exists separately.
You can get a package deal for an online stores with many of the service providers..

If you’d like to earn more money, then having a shopping cart with your online business is the way to go (what have you got to lose anyway?)
Yes there are merchant accounts providers that have bundled shopping carts, try out http://www.freemerchantaccount.biz or search the internet dude!
