Owning a credit card machine is only part of the process of accepting credit card payments in your business. Moreover, you have to make sure that you get one that is compatible with the company who is going to process your transactions.
Bottom line is that you should not purchase a credit card machine from E-bay unless you know exactly what you are buying.
Go to your local bank and tell them that you would like to accept credit cards payments in your business. They will help you with exactly what you need.
If the bank says that it will charge you for the machine then you should find out exactly what brand and make of machine it would be. Then go on E-bay and check it out to see if the price is competitive with the bank’s offer.
Credit card processing is very simple so don’t be afraid to explore it with your bank.
Good luck with the business.

credit card machines have to be activated like a credit card, thus you have to pay the credit companies to use it so i guess its not the equipment but the actual use that costs substantial money
