The lady should’ve given you a receipt showing the voided transaction and a new receipt showing only the $30. You can verify the transaction on your credit card statement when you get it (the $300 charge should stick out like a sore thumb). If the charge appears on your statement you should call your credit card company and tell them you want to challenge the charge. Keep your receipts and all paperwork from the transactions.

she should of given you a credit card receipt that said void. Contact your credit card company asap and see if she did void it. If not have them void it and contact the business.

Call the 800 number on the credit card. They should be able to tell you. If the charge has not posted yet atleast tell them what happened - that way it is on record just in case the charge was not voided and you have to dispute it later.
The credit card company should be able to guide you.

Most credit card company,s allow you to check things on line, you can see up to date changes right away, call the Co. and let them know what happened, and for them to take note as well.

It might have been a case of an unintentional mistake, or lack of knowledge of the procedures that she needs to follow, like, have that transaction voided, and provide you with a receipt of that fact. But your best bet would be to call your credit card company or go to their website, and make sure that it was in effect voided, otherwise you would have unpleasant surprises that you should avoid.
