i amthinking about getting a green dot card and i have a couple questions about it?

okay so this is what i want to know
-is there an activation fee
-what is the process to upload money on to it
-if i buy it at the store do i need to give my social security number
-what if i want to cancel it
-can i use it to buy things over the phone
please answer all if you can please
and please don’t say just get a normal credit card

- 4.95
- Go to a cashier (Walmart, CVS and Krogers are some places) at anyplace that reloads them. You can load them in any odd incremement from 20.00 and up
- No SS#
- Its a prepaid/Reloadable card. No need to cancel, just stop using it. That start charging a 4-5 monthly maintenance fee after the first month. Your balance will just start going negative until it is finally so high that you wont want to use it anyways.
- Phone, Internet, of course.
