Credit Card Machines
I run my business from my home office and would like to accept credit cards from my customers. I use my cell for everything, so, not sure if this is even possible or if I need to get a land line? Any details ( specifics) would be greatly beneficial. Thanks in advance.

Paypal takes a huge cut.
You need a landline for the machine.

There are companies that offer an application that you can download on your cell phone to turn it into a wireless credit card machine. This same application can be used on your computer to accept credit card payments as well. One of the things is to be cognizant of is this industry is very tricky. Many companies will often tell you what you want to hear, only to sock you with hidden fees after locking you into a 3 yr. contract.

Hi,
Having a merchant account at home, business etc will cost you monthly fees regardless if you make any $. As noted a paypal account is ideal, however those that do not buy online probably do not have one.

Build a website and accept paypal. It’s super easy and super quick. Vistaprint.com has a great site builder for very cheap.
