How to get a credit card/debit machine for a store?!?

I own a store in Michigan and I was just wondering if anyone can give me information on how to apply for item mentioned above..
Any help available is fine

Talk to your bank. If they handle credit cards, and most do these days, a bank representative can set you up with a merchant credit processing account. They will provide the necessary equipment.
Keep in mind that you will usually have to pay for the equipment, unless you can guarantee a significant amount of processing business to the bank. And either way, the bank will charge a fee based on the amount of the charges. Those fees vary a lot, so you may want to talk with more than one bank. If one bank gets, say, 3.5 percent of the sale and another charges 2. percent, that can really mount up over the course of a year. BTW, Costco or other warehouse stores often also offer credit card processing, and they usually take a smaller percentage, so that would be something to look into as well.
