How long does it take for the merchant’s account to get credited for a customer’s visa transaction?

If the corner gas station say charges me for a cheeseburger and I use my visa card, at what point does the gas station's account actually get credited for the ? How long is the delay?

24 to 48 hours.
If not they are using a bad processing company to process their cards for them.
