Credit Card Machines
I see them all the time at grocery stores but i don’t know how to use them? I know there are different models and each is a little bit different, but im guessing it all works about the same.
The one im wondering about is the self-swipe machine; i see people ahead of me in grocery lines use it and they only press 1 button after swiping their card…what button would this most likely be? There are so many buttons on the machine that it looks like a calculator but they only press 1…..what are all the other buttons for?

They are most likely pressing the "Credit" key. All the other buttons are in case you would like to use a debit card…then you have to put in your pin. It also could be the "Yes" key. Most of the time the machine will tell you the amount that you are about to put on your card and "ask" if it’s "ok"….

If debit card you put your "pin" number in and it says approved. With a credit card you press ok for the total and sign your name. Pretty simple.

The credit card swipe machines are easy. If you can read (and I’m guessing you can) you should have no problem.
Do what everyone else does. Swipe the card and the machine will tell you what to do. The buttons are color coded also to make it easy to use.
If you are afraid to try it, do it during shopping non busy hours. Now go get your card swiping on.
