How charge my customers over phone?

I am starting a service business that needs to charge the customers money over phone. How can I do that? Do I need to get a merchant account?
Can someone recommend a couple companies that offer the services I need?

It all really depends on what type of business? how do you want to process? terminal? software? over the phone?

You need to get a merchant account to accept credit cards.
Our company offers free software (Kashbox) that allows you to process credit cards via your computer.
