Don't be scared what that means is the line has to run into the alarm pannell first into a rj31x jack then back out to the phone connection. As far as the credit card machine goes it just need to run a standard jack in front of the phone system but after the RJ31x so if you running standard color codes you need to take the brown pair into the alarm to the RJ31x jack hook up to the red green then the output or return will be on the brown and slate wires brown will be tip slate will be ring return this to your punch down block take two leads from there one to the phone system one to the jack for the card reader The problem will be you alarm system it will require an RJ31x type connection.
