I sell cafes coffee and need to provide them with their account information online. I don’t quite need a full Customer relationship management software package (as I don’t have a need for all the other tools), just a way where my clients can log into their account on my website and get account information. I don’t want to code this myself, just looking for a FREE OR CHEAP solution to create accounts and then have a way for clients to access that information.

Would you tell me your opinions on the following accounts of destruction of nature committed by humans?

1/
"Many people in China have a belief that various tiger parts have medicinal properties, including as pain killers and aphrodisiacs. There is no scientific evidence to support these beliefs. The use of tiger parts in pharmaceutical drugs in China is already banned, and the government has made some offenses in connection with tiger poaching punishable by death. Furthermore, all trade in tiger parts is illegal under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora and a domestic trade ban has been in place in China since 1993. Still, there are a number of tiger farms in the country specializing in breeding the cats for profit. It is estimated that between 4,000 and 5,000 captive-bred, semi-tame animals live in these farms today."

2/
"The most obvious distinguishing characteristic of the rhinos is a large horn above the nose. Rhinoceros horns, unlike those of other horned mammals, consist of keratin only and lacks a bony core, such as bovine horns. Rhinoceros horns are used in traditional Asian medicine, and for dagger handles in Yemen and Oman.

One repeated misconception is that rhinoceros horn in powdered form is used as an aphrodisiac in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is, in fact, prescribed for fevers and convulsions."

3/
"Pangolins are also in great demand in China because their meat is considered a delicacy and some Chinese believe pangolin scales reduce swelling, promote blood circulation and help breast-feeding women produce milk. This, coupled with deforestation, has led to a large decrease in the numbers of Giant Pangolins.

Pangolin populations have suffered from illegal trafficking. In May 2007, for example, Guardian Unlimited reported that 31 pangolins were found aboard an abandoned vessel off the coast of China. The boat contained some 5,000 endangered animals.

The Guardian recently provided a description of the killing and eating of pangolins: ‘A Guangdong chef interviewed last year in the Beijing Science and Technology Daily described how to cook a pangolin: ‘We keep them alive in cages until the customer makes an order. Then we hammer them unconscious, cut their throats and drain the blood. It is a slow death. We then boil them to remove the scales. We cut the meat into small pieces and use it to make a number of dishes, including braised meat and soup. Usually the customers take the blood home with them afterwards.’ "

To facilitate the bile milking process, the bears are commonly kept in cramped extraction cages, also known as crush cages. While this allows for easier access to the abdomen, it also prevents the bears from being able to stand upright, and in some extreme cases, move at all. Living up to twenty-five years in this extreme confinement, results in severe cases of mental stress as well as severe muscle atrophy.[2] The World Society for the Protection of Animals reports that investigators saw bears moaning, banging their heads against their cages, and chewing their own paws. The mortality rate is high. Bears in bile farms suffer from a variety of physical problems which include loss of hair, malnutrition, stunted growth, muscle mass loss and often have teeth and claws extracted.[3] When the bears stop producing bile after a few years, they are usually killed for their meat, fur, paws and gall bladders. Bear paws are considered a delicacy."

5/
"Seahorse populations are thought to have been endangered in recent years by overfishing and habitat destruction. The seahorse is used in traditional Chinese herbology, and as many as 20 million seahorses may be caught each year and sold for this purpose.[11] Medicinal seahorses are not readily bred in captivity as they are susceptible to disease and have somewhat different energetics than aquarium seahorses.

Import and export of seahorses has been controlled under CITES since May 15, 2004. However, Indonesia, Japan, Norway, and South Korea have chosen to opt out of the trade rules set by CITES. [12]

The problem may be exacerbated by the growth of pills and capsules as the preferred method of ingesting medication as they are cheaper and more available than traditional, individually tailored prescriptions of raw medicinals but the contents are harder to track. Seahorses once had to be of a certain size and quality before they were accepted by TCM practitioners and consumers. But declining availability of the preferred large, pale and smooth seahorses has been offset by the shift towards prepackaged medicines, which make it possible for TCM merchants to sell previously unused juvenile, spiny and dark-coloured animals. Today almost a third of the seahorses sold in China are prepackaged. This adds to the pressure on the species."

A further question: if you could make a law that prohibits all of such actions, what punitive measure would be included in that law?

I’ve read some feedback on a few sites and I’m shopping around for the rare Black Cambon Totebag with white detailing. A couple who have ordered through GoElegant.com said their bags were authentic and some posted no, they weren’t. I’ve also wanted to know about LaPerle.com. Does anyone know other than a boutique that would be a merchant of this bag right now? I’ve went to an authorized retailer only to find none of that line was in stock in that particular location. Has anyone also had any prior experiences ordering through websites of this purse and found it authentic or carry authentic Chanel purses?

I had a friend purchase an alleged authentic bag from IOffer at 500, which is a steal at that price and they verified it to be an authentic. I also had a friend purchase a Prada from the same site and found she blew off 0 on some cheap plastic painted purse off poor imitation quality and the dealer deleted his account thereafter.

Any type of response would be appreciated

I want to set my Amazon orders to automatically make invoices in Quickbooks and fill out shipping labels in Paypal. The cheaper the better, but free is best.

I know there have to be some folks out there who can help me.
Jeez, I have looked for two days (literally) for a reasonable commerce hosting website that offers a shopping cart where your buyers can check out without me having to sign up for a very expensive merchant account. I hate Paypal, too (they’re crooks). I’ve read some really bad reviews about Yahoo’s services so I’m on the fence about them, and they’re not cheap either. Any advice on hosting websites that are reliable and offer checkout without asking for your first-born? Thanks in advance!

I currently have a Yahoo! Merchant Account. I want to know how hard it is to create a professional looking website using dreamweaver CS3. I’ve downloaded the trial, and so far I can make a cheap "mickey mouse" looking website. I am in the Ecommerce business and it is VERY important to have a professional looking website. I don’t have the money to pay a professional web designer, so I want to know if Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 would be a good investment. I have had some education in C++ and in HTML. Also I have heard that you need Adobe Flash CS3 or Adobe Photoshop to create professional looking web banners and interactive elements, is this true? Is there anything else that is cheaper? Please only honest answers. Thank you.

Hi

I am in 2 minds, the options for payment processing for my download products are:

http://paypal-ipn.com/
or
http://www.e-junkie.com/

?

i am confused why e-junkie charges by the month, and the other one above is a one of payment, maybe you get support and protection with ejunkie.

NOTE:
Merchant account is too expensive and costly paypal is cheaper & easier i have found, so thats why i chose paypal.

What are your experiences? advice please?

thanks in advance

I am a merchant and I have reached the limit the company I am with allows me to accept in a month as payment. I need to open an account now to be able to process the next couple of days of sales. I need to be able to accept about ,000 a month total.
Sorry, I wasn’t clear. My customers are not on line. I would like to do the banking on line. My customers are here in my office. I can’t have them go into pay pal.

Is it absolutely necessary to have a shopping cart to sell online? and are there any merchant account providers that have bundled merchant accounts & shopping carts? (i’m thinking its easier and cheaper that way…)

The goods vary from sacks of cheap hay to bags of valuable jewelry, so for convenience of accounting the merchant loaded
1st camel with 10dinar worth of goods,
2nd camel with 20dinar worth of goods,
3rd camel with 30dinar worth of goods,
and so on, each next camel carries 10 dinar worth of goods more.

http://www.ngsprints.co.uk/images/M/756029.jpg

The merchant must pay duty 1 dinar per camel, so at the city gates he declared that he had 450 camels and paid 450 dinars tax, and (plus) gave the tax collector 50 dinars bribe.

The tax collector was very pleased with the bribe, and asked the merchant:
"How do you manage to oversee such huge amount of goods during the jorney?"

The merchant replied honestly:
"Simple. I ride on one those camels, chosen so that the same amount worth of goods is in front of me, as amount worth of goods behind me"

How much money did the merchant save by bribing the the tax collector?

Currently, our website is a customer of authorize.net. We pay authorize.net 20 dollars a month for their gateway. They told us we also require a merchant services account in order to process credit cards via our website.

Where can I get a merchant service account or a package that includes authorize.net at the cheapest price?! We tried quite a few banks but authorize.net and the banks come to more than 45$ per month!

Thank you.

I am shopping around to find the best solution to charge my customers (in store) who pay with credit cards, and the cheapest too.
I was looking at Quickbooks credit card processing software, and it seems like a good deal. But do I have to have a merchant account in order to use it?

Thanks

I have a website where I bill my customers 0 every 3 months. I have 30 or so customers. My existing merchant account takes a percentage (about 1.5%) of each transaction plus a monthly fee. Is there anything cheaper? I dont want someone to take 1.5% of my gross companys profit just for being able to accept credit/debit card payments. There must be an easier way. Thanks for your help!

I am making a website for someone who wants to accept payments online. The group already has a merchant account, so they can perform the credit card transactions by hand. They just need a secure service that will store the credit card information for later access. We don’t have a secure server, and would like to find a 3rd party service that can do this for cheap (or even free!). The group is a non-profit, if that makes a difference.

I just got approved for an account I signed up for 3 weeks ago. It is from national merchant bancard and they use Authorize.net gateway. I guess the monthly fees add up to about .

I was temporary using Alertpay. Here are the pros and cons:

Alertpay:
-Does not allow customer chargebacks
-Does not charge monthly fee

cons: -Charge .50 for each transfer
-high transaction fee
-takes 5 days to process a bank deposit before sending it
-requires creating a customer account (customers don’t like)
-at times will reject customers and not let them purchase (loss sales)
-Does not integrate with ebay
-Unknown

Other merchant:
-deposits directly
-cheaper over all
-does not require registration
-integrates with ebay

cons:-very poor customer service
-does not protect against chargebacks (but does provide security)

I wanted to know which was better. I am leaning towards Alertpay because it protects against chargebacks and there are a lot of scammy people. If I get a chargeback then I would get that plus a fee taken directly out of my account then a fee to investigate it. Then again, I’d get more customers with the other merchant. Hmmm… What would be the better investment?

I am setting up to accept credit card payments. I narrowed down to 2 providers, AMS (advanced merchant svcs), OR paynet systems.

Thay both seem ok, paynet being cheaper, but AMS having authorize.net gateway for free (which I could use with an online shopping cart).
Anyone had any experience with either?
I would appreciate your sincere opinion. Thanks!
