Can Zen Cart Take Credit Cards and not process them online?

Can you use the open source Zen Cart program to accept credit cards online, but not process them online? I have a physical credit card machine and I don’t want to pay for a gateway online, so I want to just collect online orders with credit cards, and process them offline. Is this something that Zen Cart is capable of doing? i.e. capturing and databasing the credit card for offline processing?

Not possible with any online system.
