Hello .
I have this situation that i hope you can help me out with. My partner and I own a credit card processing company and been in business for about a year. In the the bank card industry there are two type of business people that are currently accepting all form of non-cash payment Visa, M/C etc.. , and business that are not accepting credit cards or checks these are considered or refered to as (NEW BUSINESS). Now the Exsiting businesses we dont make to much money upfront unless we upgrade there equipment and then we make big buck$$ and we get a residual on the account every month when they start processing with us which is nice, and the NEW Businesses we can either lease or sell them equipment that they need to start accept credit cards and checks now these type of business we make BIG BUCK$ for leasing or sell them the equipment and and like the exsiting business we also make a residual every month from there account. Business is good but it could be better. Latley I have been seriously considering going into business for myself which means i keep 100% of my money. The current agreement between my partner and I is 50/50 split and it’s been working out good but i want to make bigger moves which means i need more money. Now the reason that I even teamed up with my partner was because he was good at numbers and could read statements for exsiting businesses and give them lower rates which is important because we have customer that process anywhere from 0-1,000,000 a month so reading statements for high volume merchant is important and he has the ability to lease or sell equipment but he stronger at getting exsiting business then he is at getting new ones. Now I on the other hand am very good at getting new businesses i rather talk to a new business then an exsiting one.. WHY? if you asked.. it because there is only 24hr in a day and even though im owner of the business i try to work a 8hr shift everyday so i want to make the most money possible in the shortest amount of time …are you following me, I can also analize the statements for exsiting businesses not as good as my partner but good enough to get the job done. Now the agreement that we both have is that whatever deal we get we have to deposit 50% in our account and whoever brought that deal in gets to keep the remaining 50% of that deal and at the end of the month we split 50/50 what in our account. Now having my partner around will definately increase my residual portfolio but he doesnt lease equipment that much. Well to make this short DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOULD GO INTO BUSINESS FOR MY SELF AND KEEP 100% OF MY MONEY OR DO YOU THINK THAT I SHOULD CONTINUE THE AGREEMENT AND SPLIT 50% AND AT THE END OF THE MONTH SPLIT 50% OF OUR ACCOUNT.WHICH WAY DO YOU THINK ILL MAKE THE MOST MONEY.

My credit card payment is due today. If I make a payment today on the phone and it will be process tomorrow will I be charged late fee? How much will I be charged for late fee? How much interest will Bank of America charge me in the future? p.s Bank of America haven’t been charging me interest.
I already made the payment and it say it will be posted tomorrow. HOW MUCH FEE WILL I BE CHARGED AND HOW MUCH INTEREST WILL I BE CHARGED IN THE FUTURE?
Don’t say ask them by phone when you make payment because it is automated.

I am opening an online clothing store and I need to get a merchant account to accept credit cards. Bank of America takes 120 days to respond! (it says on their website) It’s way too long! I would like to start my online business as soon as possible without waiting 3 months for a response. Does it really take that long??? Do they at least have low fees???? And what type of fees can I expect? I am very new at this! :(

Every day I take customer’s credit card information over the phone to pay for invoices. I write it on form so that we can keep track of it and run it through the credit card machine which is in a different room. I am concerned that the credit card information is all written down and filled away in drawers in my office that anyone could potentially access. Should I be filing this information in a locked cabinet instead? Is this a violation of a HEPA law?

In March someone took my CC to the applestore and bought 0 in something there. I didn’t notice until a few weeks ago and when I went to call the bank, Visa said they could not do anything about it because it was past 90 days. I am stuck with this bill, (which is A lot for me because I’m a student) and there has to be something else they can do about it.

I closed the account and the merchants are supposed to call the police if he tries to use it.

Also, I have a suspicion about who took it, but I cannot get ahold of them. They are like transient now and possibly moved to the other side of the country. Do I still file a police report?

Thanks for all the help and ideas.

I am going to start web based business in the next few weeks and I would like to do my own web design. I do not want it to be over the top, using flash, or anything too complicated, but at the same time I do not want it to look simplistic or like it was built using a template.

Eventually I will need to incorporate a database, but most definitely not at first. And I will be setting up a merchant account and will need some sort of shopping cart feature.

What program(s) would be best suited for building a site like this? (I will be working with a pretty skilled graphic artist, so I really just need something to build and maintain it)

Thanks in advance!

It’s an outside sales job and the company pays an okay base plus commision. They offer benefits. BUT they say I can work from home and only have to go into the office every so often.

I sell things online, but today I have a customer who rather pay by credit card over the phone. I use paypal for my credit card processing on my website and have a business paypal account. My question is, can I send a paypal invoice to one of my email addresses that isn’t associated with my paypal account and enter the customers credit card information to take payment over the phone? I’d just email her an invoice but she doesn’t like ordering online with her credit card.

I am wondering if I will be able to use 2 different merchant accounts for one particular business. Both merchant accounts we opened specifically for this business. They are with different companies. I am wondering if we will be able to use both merchant accounts for the same business?

I am in the process of opening my companies website to the public but I need a Merchant Account in order to charge customers for there orders during check out. I am sure there are numerous Merchant Companies out there to choose from but I want to be sure I pick the right one for my company. I am not sure how many transactions I will have per month because the business if very new but over time the amount of transactions will increase over time. I know that some Merchant services charge you on an estimated amount of transactions per month, and if you do not reach that level you will be charge additional fees.

If someone could give me some helpful information on what Merchant Companies are better than others, who has good rates? no monthly fees? cheaper monthly fees? etc…

As much information on this topic would be appreciate, even if you can point me in the right direction I would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time

ok i work at a restaurant and the owner has a min for credit cards. no transactions under 4.00 . can they do that? i had a customer that told me she couldn’t do that, that its illegal but i’ve seen people do that. also on the credit card transactions it has the full credit card number. ive had people write over the whole number and my boss tells them that all she needs is the four last numbers just in case there is a problem she can look for the last 4 numbers. they tell her that’s illegal but i think if it was the credit card people would of programed it different right? just want to know if my boss is ok . don’t want them to get in trouble

I am in my early 30’s and never had the need to establish any credit untill now. I have never had any late bills ever, did not need to buy a car always had company car, always rented with great references. I have been trying to start establishing credit. I am willing to pay big fees to have an unsecured credit card. My question is: First Premier Bank is the only bank willing to rip me off (all others just declined). They sent me thier letter stating that they turned down the first offer I applied for but are willing to give a terrible credit card if a sent them .00,phone bill, and a bank staement. So sent them this stuff just the other day I assumed this meant that I was approved following this but Now I realize this is a "processing fee" that I sent them. Did I send .00 for nothing or am I really going receive a high fee 9.9% card that they "said"?
thank you Lisa, im not saying that the % rate is high but the fees are high

Being sold an ATM machine for placement in a bar in Tarrant County, Texas. Seller is telling me that there is legislation against bars or restaurants selling alcoholic beverages being allowed to offer credit card/ debit card customers cash back. Stating that as the reason I must have ATM instead of programming credit card/ debit card machine to allow cash back.

I’m starting an ecommerce site that will sell things from China and will be delivered in the provinces of China. My business registration is in California. So basically, no items or goods will come to CA, just the payment. For security reason and convenience, my merchant account and bank depository is in California. My market primarily are Chinese people in the US who will want to buy things for their family who are in China. With this situation, what are the taxes applicable to me in the state of California?

Are e-commerce owners responsible for fraudulent orders placed on their online store. For instance, if a real cardholders files a charge back, is the business owner out of that money?
Anyone???!

This is a marketing question in marketing a new universal credit card system. Presenting a universal model of its debit/credit card machine. By definition, ‘universal’ is intended to represent a model that will be compatible with any existing system currently being used in retail stores and grocery markets. Since patrons of these industries are able to swipe (process) their own transactions, these specific businesses will be the target market of the new product Smart-System is offering. It will be designed to have a capability to integrate with all existing systems at retail and grocery….etc.

Need to describe the organizational buyers and consumers of this product and the factors that influence their purchasing decisions? Discuss how these factors will impact your marketing strategy.

Can a marketing expert assist me?

How do you think we will benefit from vending machines that accept credits?

What do you think the price of the new vending machine should be?

How would you go about promoting it?

When other companies steal your idea of the credit card vending machine, what would you do to keep consumers interest in yours?
